I was complaining about this issue awhile back. Basically, Crysis was stuttering like hell in dx10, but decent in dx9. Also, this issue only popped up with Vista (duh=dx9). Others had complained about the same problem. In fact, the game would play smoother at dx9 "very high" than dx10 "medium".

However, as suspected, this was a driver issue. Upon installing 8.8 dx10 is now smooth. Just posting my experience so others who have stuttering like I described can try this and see if it fixes it for you.

thanks for the post up, it seems many people are getting different results w/ different drivers ie.: 8.8 betas, official 8.8s, 8.52's, 8.54's

seriously a PITA trying to figure out which driver goes best w/ your hardware

Same issue here, dx10 is stutters on any any setting, and on dx9, its much fewer and farther between. Keep in mind this was with the demo, have not tried the patched retail, with 8.8 drivers.
