4790K OCs

When I had mine last year. I ran it at a solid 4.8 daily in an itx system. That chip gamed hard and was a stud.

What voltage did 4.8ghz require? I'm currently running 4.7 at 1.27v.

I had mine at 1.35 I believe. But it has been a while. On a corsair h100i with two noctua fans in its place. Gigabyte z97n itx.

Loved that system. Was beautiful in the corsair 250d it was in.

None as of yet because I'm on a non-Z board. Haha.

Had a Z87 board, updated BIOS, but the 4790k seemed to kill it. Maybe I could have resurrected it but it already hit the scrap pile.

Went out and and bought a cheap 97 board asap to get my new shiny up and running, happened to be what my local store had on hand.

I mean, it's not even close to bottlenecking anything I do at stock 4.4 so I'm not THAT hard up on going for MOAR, although I definitely will at some. Too busy playing with my new SB server at the moment.
