I am a bit puzzled right now..im running 57C idle and in 60s' during light loads.
ive got a Thermotake polo cpu fan running at, around 2500rpm's.

how would i bring temp down.

Well Prescotts do tend to run hot. In an attempt to lower the temperature you could try reseating the heatsink with a high quality thermal paste and see if that helps. Also if the heatsink has been on there a while then maybe it needs cleaned? This is really all I can think of to lower your temps. Hopefully they help you :D

What temps are you getting under heavy load (Prime95 small FFTs, IntelBurnTest, LinX, etc.).
