What is with all these reports of processor delays due to bugs? The story cites anonymous sources and, if memory serves me correctly, 45nm Core 2 Quad processors aren’t scheduled until the first half of 2008, so nothing has been “delayed” yet.

According to our sources, if Penryn dual core, or Wolfdale, will be well-launched in mid-January, quad core versions, Yorkfield, will not be available until late February / early March. Behind this shift lies a bug that in very rare cases a system crash (decidedly ...), bug that Intel has decided to fix before launching the CPU while it was detected in laboratory during a new procedure for validation.

if this is true, Means i have some awesome luck. (QX9650 in transit)

maybe i should go buy a scratcher @ lunch

dude if you can afford a 12-1300 dollar processor what do you need to be playing the lottery for LOL

This kinda bums me out tho because even if they arent due out until the first half of 08 i was hoping more to get one sometime in january

According to what I read the q9450 was supposed to come out in Jan'08 right? Is this just FUD or ?

Whats with people throwing around the word FUD for?

You know what FUD stands for? Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. As in propaganda.

A guessimate or a mistaken rumor does not make it a FUD. So someone was wrong, What's the fear and doubt?

Look, until Intel themselves release a statement to validate these claims, then they are unsubstantiated rumors. 'Nuff said.

I guess Intel figures AMD is doing so poorly that they can wait for a while and keep selling the current models.
