£400 htpc vs £100 htpc??

Hi im debating weather i should build a htpc complete with mobo ram, cpu and a 4850 for gaming or just buy a htpc case and put my old pentium 4 stuff inside their instead?

any thoughts? i want to be able to play and stream .mkv files and do some light gaming on it occasionaly.
