Why can't I select surround sound in doom 3 unless i set windows control panel to 5.1 surround. I have a sb live value and 4.1 klipsch promedia's. If i set the control panel in windows to Quadrophonic, doom3 wont let me choose surround sound. If i pick 5.1 i can, but i dont have a center channel so i think im missing some of the sound.

anyway to get regulare 4.1 to work in doom3?
 
I'd love to hear some suggestions on this setup as well. I've got a similar setup and the same issues as well.
(Creative Audigy, Klipch 4.1, Doom 3, XP SP2)
