I have a pretty decent ESXi box running version 3.5, but I have a problem, I cannot get my raid card running my harddrives to work or be seen by vmware, and that is all I have. Can someone help me?

The raid card is a 3ware 9500S-12

Im running out of ideas :(

I know they do not directly support it, but thee has to be a way, I know others have gotten like 9650 series to run, but I cannot afford to upgrade the card. Does anyone have any thoughts? Or can help me install like a basic linux driver? Im sort of at a loss here. Need to get my server running!

At this point I'm not sure, however the 9650 is on the HCL; so that's probably why it works without any troubles. :(

Hopefully somebody else can chime in, good luck. :)

You'd need to inject the offline-bundle.zip 3ware provides onto a working install of ESXi. That means ESXi has to be installed on some local disk/usb stick/etc first.

Do you have a link and some directions for doing this? Im afraid I do not know much about entering commands or editing scripting.
