I have been having a problem with my pc randomly black screening and rebooting. SO after running memtest86, prime95, all the spyware, adware, virus scans possible I got frustrated and ran 3DMark 2001SE. 3 times I ran it and 3 times it failed with this message:

Reliable benchmarking cannot continue because the 3dmark window lost focus

Anyone know what this message means? The videocard is a Visontek GeForce 3. I think it means my videocard is about to take a dirt nap but I figured i would ask you guys first. Thanks.

Doesn't that error message mean that you were multitasking and pressed alt+tab, or did something that minimized the program? Just don't do anything while testing, I know it might be boring seeing those "old' graphics. :p If you aren't alt tabbing, i don't know what else is wrong.

I had everything turned off....walked away and came back and that message was up each time.

It also happens when the computer is running sluggish and cannot handle 3dm "stable-y" (that even a word?)
Happened to me when I tried running 3dm03 while having prime95 on priority 10

Other than this 3DMark everything was off......everything. I pulled it from the network had the av, firewall, everything off when I ran it. The system had been running F@H before and was doing really well crunching through that so the system wasn't running sluggish. I am a little miffed. Time to swap vidcards I guess.
