3dmark 05 Questions

I simply don't get how you people post your 3dmark05 scores and have them be accurate based on your computers capabilities. For instance, look at my signature. I normally run my games at absolute highest possible settings for my computer. 1280x1024 at 6AA, and Anisotropic 16x, etc.

I ran 3dmark05 at 1024x768, no AA, no Anisotropic, and ALL tests and scored a 5947.
I then ran it again at highest settings which I normally run regular games such as DOOM3, HL2, and BF2 at 1280x1024, 6AA, Anisotropic 16x, and I scored a 3504.

Now to make it look better I could put the 5947 in my sig, but that's stupid since that's the easier settings, hell I could drop to 800x600 and probably do a craploda better. This is confusing because it would seem smart that you are given bonus points for using the AA, anisotropic, and Higher res settings, but I guess all it does is PENALIZE your 3dmark05 score..

Show me the light someone, 3dmark doesn't make sense.
 
default settings are just easier to compare to other users since they use default settings.

my car goes faster in a mile race then a quarter mile.

see the point?
 
1024x768 with no aa/af is default settings... obviously if you want to bench / compare you'd want some kind of standard. There honestly isn't a way to check to see if a random guy's "omg! i just got 90000000 in 3dmark" is correct. Hell who knows if he even ran 3dmark. Unless of course you bought 3dmark and have a link to their compare site.

Seriously. If i was going to lie about a score i would just make one up. Why would i go through the trouble of lowering the setting / run the benchmark / and then report the higher score? Use some common sense dude. I didn't need anybody to tell me to use the default settings to compare a score. That's just what makes logical sense.
