Ok, well, I had just adjusted my bios a little, so I ran 3dmark 2001 to test the stability of the system, see if anything crashed and all.

It ran fine and everything, except, well.... I averaged something like 38 fps in nature ?
I also ended up with some score of like 92xx or so. Not even 10,000. And I normally get around the high 16,8xx range.

Seeing this a little weird, I went on to bench Doom3, and I got 45fps at 10x7 on high, with shadows and specular on.

So I was just wondering, is this a driver problem?

well, I changed the memory ratios, so that now I'm running at 200fsb, and 166 for memory.

Thats really about it, so techincally, since i increased my fsb, i should have raised my performance.

NO NO NO the FSB and mem speed should be the same!

Athlon XP's don't like that and it always hurts performance. Also your memory was previously 173 and is now 166 so you slowed it down and added latency change it back.

Async is not good my friend. :( Try to run them in sync for best performance. I score nearly 15,000 in 01 with a 9700 pro at 360 core / 344 memory and a Athlon XP 1700+ at 1734 mhz [8.5x205], ram in single channel at timings of 8-4-4-3.0, everything tweaked.
