3D Mark 05 Glitches????

Whenever I run 3DMark05 I see spikes coming off the charactor models in the first section. Is this because my 6800GT is bad, or is it just the 77.50 beta drivers? Or is it something else?
 
When I over clock there are lots of spikes that are hanging off the character models. At stock speeds there is maybe one spike.

Could it be the beta drivers?
 
there shouldnt be any spikes at stock speeds, so yes it could be the drivers. another possibility might be that your gpu temps are too high. do you know what temps your getting?
spikes and artifacts are expected however if you oc'ed too high. what are your core and memory clocks?
 
My idle temp is 62 degrees. It is a BFG (dual fan) so it is at 370/1000 stock. At stock speeds I see one spike coming off a guy's boot. At 380/1100 there were all kinds of spiky glitches in 3D Mark 05. I also ran ATI Tool's artifact test thing and I am not getting any at stock speeds.
