Hello fellow enthusiasts,

Is there any detailed info about 3870x2 length? 8800GTX barely fits my coolermaster centurion 534 case (it's like 0.5mm free space left), I wonder if 3870x2 would jump in.

If not, I need to seriously consider 8800gts 512. In the other hand; dx 10.1 support is making me dizzy. Upgrade or not, that's the ultimate question.

Rest of my rig: Q6600@stock, 4gb ddr2, gigabyte x38-dq6 and... x850xt :)

it is the same length as the 8800 GTX, so you should be fine.

don't G80 GTX/GTS cards have the power cables routed from the top of the PCB rather than the back as is the case with most cards?

This would provide valuable extra leeway in case-fitting that may not be available in a 38 X2 based card.

As far as I can tell, the power plugs come off the top of the board, not off the side. So this shouldn't cause any issues with adding length to the card with cables. infact, I like this deign better, just have the power cables come down next to the card and then sweep right up into it.

The 3870x2 has top mounted power connectors, just like the 8800 GTX.
