3850 issues?

Just installed a 3850 to replace a 7950 in a buddies system. After the install and driver loads I cant get 3dmark06 to run now. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it hangs and says not responding. I am also running into issues with COD4 kicking me out and the ATI CCC saying it had to restart my video driver? Anyone runnign into these issues?
 
You didn't fully remove nvidia drivers. Try Drivercab remover or reformat.
 
I did a full remove... The issues with COD4 seems to have gone away. So what do I use to fix the 3dmark06 issue?

I did driver cleaner and it fixed the way teh games looked.. I thougth they looked a bit dull but it was night and day difference now on how they look. I cant get much of an OC without crashes.. but temps are in the 80s almost 90s under load and that probably isnt helping.
 
I have the same problem with 3d Mark and my 3850, it also hates the combination of my motherboard and my sound card. Otherwise, everything is good. :p
 
Okay so you nerds care what software says vs. how the game actually looks think about that...... P.S. if your card is becoming unstable due to the OC thats the way it goes, it's not like the manufacturer is saying pump it up woooooo!
 
3dmark works now.... just over 9,900 with a very slight OC... the unstable issue im pretty sure is due to the fact it was touching 90c under load. It didnt seem to have any issues at 680/850 with temp or stability. Its much faster then his last 7950GT in COD4 but BF2142 is slower? His last card would just hold the 100fps cap solid and this one will dip into the 60s. Overall im impressed with the card and things should only get better with newer drivers.
