What do you think of 4.3 at Core Voltage 1.150?

How long am I supposed to run Prime95 for because I use to run it 24 hours on my old AMD processors or longer but this thing has a max temp of like 83C with these settings, I kinda don't wanna run it 24 hours at that temp.

Using 4.2 is mid 70's, like 74C full load with 1.120 but I'm not sure it makes a big difference from 83C full load, what you guys think?

I do have the Evo 212 sooooooo I mean I reseated over an over and get same temps basically.

I was going to use offset voltage but it makes no sense and I don't think would lower temps any, I mean why not just set the max voltage and leave it at that?

AMD has p-states, but this Intel how could I even test offset voltage to ensure stability at each state. Anyways bye
 
I'd go with 4.2GHz, and run it at least for a few hours.
The extra 100MHz isn't going to do anything noticeable at all.

I'm taking this advice, I am running 4.2 and testing Core Voltage of 1.070 its been 2 hours it seems stable, I'll leave it running for awhile. The temp is 70C full load.

Kinda makes me wish I'd gone with Sandy Bridge idk =X

Anyhow will keep you posted on how this turns out, my chart I have shows 1.12 works so this working without a failure would be surprising. Need to wait more time to determine.

P95 is a poor indicator of stability, try using IntelBurnTest as well. You should have gone SB ;) much cooler. Hyper 212 is a great cooler btw. You should also perform calculation benchmarks with your voltage bumped in either direction and see what your performance does. Sometimes 'stable' at X voltage isnt necessarily optimal. Often you'll see a proc run stably at a given Vcore and OC, but lowering the OC and using the SAME Vcore actually performs BETTER. 1.070 is pretty low, so it would be prudent to test it out. I've fixed this, over on overclocking.net there's a thread called Ivy Bridge Overclocking Guide ► Asus Motherboards and by setting my BIOS options identically to his I was able to make these temps more sensible. I'm not sure why the default settings created such weird temps but now I am at 4.5 with 1.150 Core Voltage and running Prime95 with Custom 10 minute FFT's for 12 hours. If it passes I'll let you know here. I was very surprised to see the temps drop that way, basically 80C max so far for this, will post picture too if successful
