Hey everyone,

I blame you all for getting me addicted to these forums :D . After reading the westy posts religiously, I finally decided to post.

I've been eyeing the lvm-37w3 for awhile, but being a college student, I have a limited budget.

BB's b.f. ad caught my eye - 479$ for 32 inch westinghouse.

Primary uses would be as a pc monitor for games/movies/browsing etc and console games.

While I could save up for another few months for the 37", this deal seems too good to pass up.

What would you recommend for my situation: amazing deal right now or amazing lcd in 4-5 months?

$479 for a 32" westinghouse at BB. How?

BF... that's how, I just saw the ad too. Guess I'm lining up at 4:00pm the day before and camping...

edit: BF = Black Friday (just in case you were unaware)

is the 32 inch panel 1080P?
No it isn't, only 1080i, no dvi, and 1366 x 768.

Looking at the spec differences makes me lean towards saving up for the 1080p 37", but the 32" deal is just so tempting...

anyone?

would you buy the 32" 1080i on BF - or save up for the lvm37w3?

Also - how does the 32" westinghouse rack up against other 32" 1080i lcds?

Thanks

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the US.
With that said, the 32" Westy is only 720p. I'd definitely save up for the 37" myself personally, if only for the 1080p support.

I think that it does have DVI, as well as HDMI. BestBuy.com does not have it listed and the ad has a different part number than any of the other Westinghouse display's (W3213). However, there is a W32w3, in which case is listed on the Westinghouse website here.

Sup guys, I'm in the exact same boat trying to decide between the two. I'm kinda confused by the 37" though. The 37" model they had at my local best buy was only 720p and they didn't have a 1080p model. You gotta make sure you're looking at the right one and I don't think Best buy has it.

My other concern is that since I would like to use this as a desktop monitor the 32" 720p won't look too good since that's a pretty low resolution for the size.
