Are there issues with vista 64 bit like there is with xp 64bit? meaning driver issues/availabilities and software issues. Everyone going for the 64 bit this time around with the c3d and amd 64's?

thanks

Most of the issues with the 64bit version are lack of some drivers which even the 32bit has but the 32bit is getting more driver support. The only advantage to having 64bit processing is having the ability to actually tap anything over 4gb ram, speed wise I still don't see much advantage to the 64bit, even Photoshop CS3 won't be 64bit, it does not mean it won't run on a 64bit OS, it just means that it wasn't programmed to fully take advantage of it. Well here's something you could do, get a non OEM copy of vista that gives you both 32bit and 64bit versions, use the 32bit until more driver support is for 64bit, I would give it a year before making the leap to 64bit unless you can find most of the drivers you need, and you are sure most program will work well with it, there is still a few games and programs that get a little iffy with the 64bit. Good luck.
BTW, Vista 64bit is gaining a lot more ground, could say it's a lot more supported than the xp 64bit version, If you really wanted to run 64bit from day one you should be fine, but you are more likely to have a better chance of getting started without a hitch with newer components, if your have a 3yr old printer there is a smaller chance that 64bit drivers will come out for it and if it does it will probably be a crappy integrated bios with some broken features.
