3 tb 69 with promo code

Considering that link takes you to a drive that costs $89.99, posting details on how to actually get it for $69 would be helpful.

You need to be on Fry's mailing list to get the promo codes. It's a single code that works for everything listed in a given email promo. They usually only last a day, although sometimes there are week long or 3 day ones too.

AFAIK they are sent individually and can't be re-used more than once for the same item.... although I suppose there is nothing stopping someone from giving their code away if they don't plan to use it.

Not so useless as I have the code from my email however I am not sure I want another 3TB drive at this time..
 
Wow, I just got wrecked. It was available on backorder, with an ETA of 7/4. I got through adding it to cart, applying the promo code, and running through checkout, choosing to have it shipped. At the last step, it errored out, saying I had nothing in the cart / promo code didn't apply to anything. Looks like they yanked the product.

The advertisement did say while supplies last. This morning I wondered why they were taking backorders. Maybe they did not intend that. However if the product was backorderd this morning was anyone actually able to purchase it for delivery??
 
The promo codes are sent by email (duh) to those on the email list and it usually shows up in my inbox around 2-3am Pacific time so, a lot of these really great pricing deals disappear before the stores even open with people buying the product for in-store pickup or having them shipped.

I saw it earlier this morning but as soon as I saw it happened to be a Toshiba drive it was "into the trash it goes..." :D

There online webpage is very borked when it comes to using promo codes.

I have 5 of the ones that comes in a black box, for couple years now, in ZFS. 0 issues. This one appears to come in a red box, so I don't know the difference.
