Im setting up windows SBS 2003 on an old amd 64 machine and dont know how to setup the hard drives

I have a Seagate 300gb and two matching WD 250gb drives. What would be the best way to setup something that can provide a good back up of files in case a drive fails.

I plan to do weekly back ups to DVD and send them off site. It's a tiny little company thats just starting out and i'm unsure what level of protection to have when it comes to data.

Based on what you have available, I'd use the 400GB drive for the OS and apps, and set the two 250's as a mirrored pair for critical data in addition to very frequent backups.

Use 1 250GB drive for data. Backup, xcopy, each night to the other 250GB drive in a external case.

How much data do you have? (just a DVD worth.)

Put the data on the 400GB drive in a new partition. Use the 2 250GB drives in external cases to rotate as backups to directories like MMMDDYY.
