how much faster is the 3.4C than the 3.2C, i want to buy one of these, but i only want to spend $300, the 3.2 is right around there and the 3.4 should be after the august 22nd price drop

i just have an itchy finger, wanna know if its worth it to wait for me in order to get the 3.4

TIA

200 mhZ is like nothing, I'd go for the 3.2C. Like he said, they'll probably hit a wall around the same area when overclocking anyway, one is just 200 mhZ faster stock.

3.2c gets my vote.

maybe im looking at this wrong but...

3.4 / 3.2 = 1.0625 = 6.25% Faster

imo 6% isnt worth it, but im an overclocker and for me if unless i can get a cpu that overclocks 50% faster that stock but i need to use $300 worth of cooling ill do it.

Wow the A64 3400 gets trashed in a lot of those benches lmao :p

Yeah, but they didn't do many game benches. And it utterly destroyed everything else in Splinter Cell and UT2k3

You consider 5fps in splinter cell uterlly detroyed? lol! It did beat it in UT2k3 though, but when you're getting 100fps+, does it really matter? Intel owns! :D

guys,

those game scores are useless. why? becuase it is a CPU benchmark - which means that 800 x 600 is mandatory. Know anyone running 800 x 600 with a 3.4 or 3400? last I read about 90% of gamers use 1024 x 768. Most highend vid cards are pretty close to each other at this res.
