2nd hard drive dectect issues

I have a 80gb ssd main drive im trying to add a western digital 500gb secondary but so far no luck at all. Ive read a few things and tried several tricks nothing is working.

P67A-G45 mother board,
 
what have you tried?

what OS? im assuming windows?
does the bios detect it?
if so, do you see it in the disk manager in windows?
if so, right click it, format it, assign it a drive letter, and you should be good to go
 
Windows 7 pro

My Bios detects it but inside of windows its a no show.

I tried to put it into another computer to see if it would let me format, tried to use the windows disk to allow for a format but that also did not work.
 
managed to get it to show up in the device manager but it wont give me a format option in there
