290x and windows aero problem

I just installed a 290x into my new build and I'm having windows aero incompatibility issues (windows 7 ultimate x64). When I turn on windows aero everything on screen like my browser becomes extremely blurry like someone rubbed mayo over it. The text is really fuzzy and the colors look weird too. When I switch back to windows basic theme and I lose the glass look but the issues are gone. I've done a ton of googling and it's driving me insane..
 
ok this is really weird. I deleted the drivers 13.11 beta 8 with driver sweeper and went back to 13.11 8.01.01.1360 and the problem seems to solved. Could there have been an issue since it was only in beta?
