27" Samsung SyncMaster 275t LCD

I have the + version, which I believe only is different by some connection options, and I absolutely love it. I have read that it has slower response than others, but I honestly do not notice at all (I play all types of games). I would swoop on that deal with a quickness as I have been trying to find either 275t or 244t for triple monitor setup (1200, Samsung PVA, Matte Black Bezel).

As long as it is in solid condition, you can't beat that price.

The 275t is actually very fast, and borders on inpit lag tolerability at 30ms.

I would be cautious, bought one off of craigs list and it overheats and parts of the secreen only displays RGB for mintues at a time in 10-15 mintue intervals. Samsung would not fix it either. There are a ton of reports of the samsung va monitors dying at the 3 year mark.

Thanks guys. I think I've gone monitor crazy.
The monitor is already 3years old and is in good condition, but then I'm no expert. The thing that worries me is that it has no HDMI, which for gaming I need with my 360.
BTW NCX how much did you pay if I'm not inquisitive.

Thanks:)

300$, canadian.

Use VGA with the 360, will probably bypass some input lag as well.

Thanks.Since you know the monitor, anything I should specifically check for in that model?

Just see if you can use it for a hour or so, display a black screen in the dark to see of the backlight is flickering (going out), but make sure to turn down the brightness as it is ridiculously (400cdm/2) by default if the current owner hasn't allready. Also check and see if it gets really hot over time, which is what mine did.

Honestly though, I doubt it will last that much longer and suggest ponying up some more money for the superior Eizo Foris FS231 which uses a C-PVA panel (less gamma shift, 2.5x the contrast 10ms of input lag). I wouldn't waste 400$ on something that has exceeded the manufacturers warranty and might have a year of life left (most people report 3 life span). IMO 30ms makes gaming feel to floaty with a controller as well, it is fine for mouse/keyboard, but I felt kinda handicapped online

It has HDMI, comes with Eizos 5 year warranty, has deeper blacks and accurate color presents compared to the Wide Gamut the 275t gives you.

One last thing, I don't think the 360 suppourts 1200p and recall PRAD.de saying any res but 1920x1200=50ms of lag=unplayable.

Thanks. Not that keen on such an old monitor but he says its 6 months old. I think it was discontinued before.

If you put in the serial number on the back into samsungs sight under the wrranty/customer service section you can see when it was made.

If it were me buying a new one I still wouldn't because of the 30ms of lag and color presents with the much better eizo foris avaliable.

This depends on which 275T we are talking about. The orignal 275T was not wide gamut, but it is really old. Well over three years. Then came the 275T Plus which has the same panel as my 2709W. The 275T Plus is wide gamut and like the Dell 2709W has no meaningful sRGB mode. This is the biggest complaint I have about the 2709W.

In both cases the input lag, (3.5 frames) is too much for serious gamers.

In one case the display is too old and in the other case no sRGB, so yes go for the EIZO in stead.
