26" Sony thoughts?

I'm looking at this T.V for xbox 360 and potentially as a P.C monitor.

It's at Circuit City for 999, and I wasn't floored by it, but for 999 it seems nice. I was willing to spend up to 1,500 or even 1,750, so are there any drastically better 26 or 32 inch T.V's? I'm checking out Tweeter tomorrow for more ideas as well. Thanks

I have the model before this samsung and I love it. I actually work with the 26" version at work and its awesome.

If it's really good I will look into it, but I am really prefer smaller T.V's.
