Yes, thats 25s, not 25ms random access (25793ms to be precise). All the drives in my file server give stupidly large random access times in HDTach, and I'm wondering whats up. The three logical drive attach to three different controllers, a u133 ide controller, a u160 scsi controller, and a 3ware raid controller, all on a supermicro 370dl3 (serverworks le chipset). So I'm assuming its the motherboard, any ideas on why? Its running win2k server w/ sp4 on a p3 1.0ghz

The boot drive is a scsi simply for reliability, and uses the onboard u160 adaptec scsi. The 3ware 7506-12 with 12x 200gb drives goes without explaining, and the promise u133 controller is because of the 200gb drive i back up to, as the onboard ide is only ata33.
