I got my ol athlon 2500+ still running strong but it hasn't seen the light of overclocking in a while, I almost forgot I was really involved in it at one time.

So Ive got this overclocked to 2.1 ghz@1.7v right now [200x10.5, although MBM is reporting 2203 mhz and xp is reporting 2.2ghz] and I'm prime95ing it as we speak.

So far it seems stable and the temps rose to about 56C for a minute in the first test but have stayed constant around 51C.

Now I completly forget safe voltages and temps for all processors so I'm asking the classic... is my cpu up to more on my cooling and where should I stop.

Thanks :)

My current 2500+ tops out around 53*C, but it has seen long-term temps of close to 60*C. Doesn't seem to have fazed it. My case has crappy air flow, and my HSF (TR2 M2) sucks - not worth changing.

Edit: I run 11x181=1991MHz.

why dont you just do 11 x 200 for 3200+ speeds, most can do stock voltage or very close

mmm I've got mine at 2.25 (225x10)(1.7v) right now and after 24 hours of prime it peaked out at 45 on air...idles around 37 but its really cold in my room...

I have PC2700 RAM, and it won't go that high.

I have 2700. I thought most in that range ran at 200 mhz. I'm gonna mess around some more today and see where I can get this.
