I can't get my 2500 BArton past 190x11.

Whats holding me back? I want more power!

Specs:

Mobo: Asus a7n8x Deluxe
MEmory: Centon pc3200 1 gig
HSF: Volcano 11
Graphics: ATI 9500 pro
HDD: WD 120gig caviar
OPtical 1: Liteon 16x dvd reader
optical 2: ~~~~~ 8x DCD burner
CAseFans: 6 fans moving 30cfm each

Bartons are very voltage hungry. If your running that at default voltage that is about what it should get. See my sig... but mines a bit older Barton.

The max overclock for these (if its not a mobile CPU) is about 2.5 GHz. but you need some serious voltage and therefore cooling for that.

One other thing, what kind of memory do you have. If its not 3200 DDR it may not be able to handle that FSB.

Could be the mobo, the ram or the CPU. I have a locked XP2500+ at 11x210 @ 1.75v on an Epox 8RDA3+ rev 2.x.

Complete Specs:
XP2500+ 11x210 @ 1.75v with Aero7 HSF
400w CompUSA PS
Epox 8RDA3+ rev 2.x
2x256PC3500 Kingston HyperX @ 2.6v
nVidia TNT2 32meg AGP
8GB Seagate "Old Fart" HD
24x LiteOn CD
Samsung Floppy
WinXP Pro

If I upgraded the hard drive and the graphics card, I'd have a decent gaming rig. Currently it just sits up against the wall with no monitor hooked up. It folds 24/7 for me.:)
