Just got my 2407 A04 in yesterday, and I'm noticing some weird video staggering... If you watch THIS and look towards the top of the screen (1/4 of the way from the top) you can see a distinct separation/line in the picture. Does anyone know what this is? It seems to be on every video clip I view...

I have 1:1 pixel mapping on, but I wasn't watching 1080p content. It was a ripped version of 720p content (but it did it on other videos too)

Anybody with an A04 have the same issue?

It happens with all ripped content...

Its possible that the problem is caused by your media player, codecs, cpu, or gfx card rather than the monitor.

I see that in VLC playing through DVI on my 50" LCD RPTV when there isn't enough CPU. Are you using VLC? This is when playing on a Mac Mini (which is my media box), and since it has a G4 it often doesn't have enough juice for HD video.

(Apple, I want a Santa Rosa Mac Mini, ASAP.)

No problems, and I have watched allot of Anime dvd's on a high end upscaling player on my A04,most recently was Elfen Lied vectors One through Four.

Last night my step daughter and I watched the first dvd of Wolfs Rain, and then eps 5 and 6 ripped @ 350 megs a piece @ 12x7 with NO problems.Sounds like a problem with the asics in the screen,or the codecs in the software player you are using as others have
already suggested.Good luck ! :)

I just did some tests, and it appears windows media player has more issues than VLC, but VLC still has issues with fast moving images (sudden and lengthy movement create these lines). Could it be possible it's my video card not being powerful enough for the screen? I'm currently only running this on an FX-55 with a 7900GT KO...

Ive had the same issue with my A03. It happened on most ripped videos, and was more obvious on lower res vids. Didnt happen on DVDs or 1080p content tho. The problem has gone away after a little burn in so maybe that is the issue? I have a shitty gfx card and P4 but doesnt explain why the problem has gone away...

I had some problems with video playback before on the 2407. Diffrent from yours tho, i had some weird interference when playing dvd's or HD content (the lower the bitrate, the less interference I had :/). Now I am on vista with the vista codec pack and everything works fine so it was just bad codecs. I'd say its a codec problem and not a monitor problem.

Now that I think about it my problem did go away around the time I updated to the newest version of K-Lite Codec pack
