Flash Menu is the easiest way to do it. It is safe, but no method is 100% reliable. You can download FlashMenu from Abit's web site. It is windows based, so no floppy required. It has the option to do a live update via the internet, but I would recommend just downloading the bios file and flashing it from the HD. BTW, a new bios will not make your chip actually run cooler, but it may lower the temps that are reported. Also, Abits are known to report temps anywhere from 10-15 degrees higher than actual. One more important point; never flash your bios while overclocked!
One more thing. I personally would not do a bios update just because the reported temps might off. Most likely, the will still be incorrect after the bios flash. Some people have reported even higer temps after flashing to a more current bios. But it is your machine, so do with it as you will.![]()
