I purchased a ZR24 and while I don't think it sucks, it doesn't really improve upon my situation. I normally am using my PC in a near pitch black room, so reflections aren't a problem. I'm really underutilizing the ZR24 and would like to "downgrade" and pass it on to someone who could get more use out of it (I don't need accurate color reproduction).

That 24" Apple display is near perfect. 1920x1200, glossy (glass) display. VESA mountable. Expensive and requires some fiddling to get to work on a PC if I remember right.

So what other panels qualify?

1920x1200
Glossy/Glass (instead of matte or anti-glare)
VESA mountable

Apple doesn't manufacture 24" monitors anymore, there's only the 27" cinema display.

I myself have searched a lot for a good glossy monitor but it looks like the options are quite scarce. And all of them are 16:9 (1920x1080)

ASUS LS246H/LS248H
Acer G24
HP 2509m (25") / 2310m(23 inch)
HP 2310ei
Acer G245H Bmid (glossy version)

The 24" Apple is no longer made, but occasionally you can pick up a refurb unit from the apple store. I saw one the other day on their refurb site.

As long as you have displayport or mini displayport out on your video card, it should work without any problems.

EDIT: There are some up right now as we speak on the refurb store.

If anyone has any leads please post them, in the market for the same.

Using my nec 20WMGX2 right now and most larger monitors seem like a downgrade. Would like to go to 24-26" 1920x1200 res with a glossy screen like my current monitor for that sharp/clean looking image but there is almost nothing out there.

My current res is 1680x1050... 1920x1080 is almost ZERO increase in vertical resolution, a nice boost in horizontal space but... is that really noticeable? I seem to have plenty of that already.

HP seems to have a large selection of glossy 24inch screens....seen them at Best Buy and Costco. I prefer matte....but when I see glossy desktops them almost always seem to be HP

Is there a technical term for glossy? I can't find anything on spec sheets that specifically refer to the glossy/matte issue.
