24" dell vs 30" dell

So, with the crazy deals on these going on right now...what's the difference like when using them? Looking at upgrading from a 2000fp, so either one would be bigger, but is the 30" model worth twice the price? (with current coupons, 1250 shipped and with damage protection, + around 120 for a new gfx card vs 625 shipped).

The 30" really seems huge compared to the 24". The 30" uses an S-IPS panel, one of the best panels, while the 24" uses an S-PVA panel, which has viewing angle issues.

i was in the same situation and went with the 24" mainly because of the price but also because it has more video inputs. also i dont think i want to play games at such a high resolution adding additional stress on the vid card.
