Building another rig so I need a new monitor to go with it. I'm thinking about getting a 2209wa, yes I know I'm late, but I wanted to try it out because I heard it had low input lag considering it's an eIPS and that it has some nice color reproduction.

The thing is, I've been on 1900x1200 for a while now and I don't think I could stand going back to something smaller unless it was a 1900x1080 and because of that I was thinking of maybe VH242H or the VH236H. It's mainly gonna be used for gaming and other general things, but mainly wasting my life gaming.

I know that the ASUS have better response time/input lag then the 2209wa and would be better for gaming, but I don't know... I just wanna see how good the color reproduction is on the 2209wa. Anyway any input/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on whats more important to you and if you are sensitive to input lag to even begin with because most people are not and really the issue isn't as big as some make it out to be. If you find yourself hating TN color production and crappy viewing angles then get the Dell 2209WA or if you want a higher resolution with less input lag and more inputs get the Asus.

Your choice.

Yeah, it really depends what you want. Personally, I would settle for a larger ASUS display even if it's a TN display. If it's just gaming and general things, you should be fine. I have an ASUS display the 27" MT276HE 1080P and I am quite happy with it. It had no stuck or dead pixels with very minimal backlight bleeding. The color is more vivid than my other Hanns-G 281DJB 28" display. I agree with you also that I myself cannot settle to go smaller in size when it comes to a monitor.

I've used my 2209WA for nearly two thousand hours.

There is no contest between TN screens and the 2209WA. It lends itself every time to a better gaming experience whether you are playing an MMO, Borderlands, or something like The Witcher.

Well fuck. As much as I don't want to I guess I'll try the 2209WA and if worst comes to worst I'll just swap it with my t240hd. Thanks for the input guys.
