21" apple cinema gaming resolution problems

Some games only give you selectable resolutions (all ea games) by what your selectable desktop resolutions are and others let you choose practically anything (unreal, doom..etc.)
I reinstalled windows and my display is call a plug and play monitor and I get 1920x1200 and a bunch of other choices down to 640x480.....but NOT 1280x1024 or 1600x1200
before the reinstall my monitor was called apple 23 cinema and they resolutions were selectable..
so when I play ea games I get 800x600 and 1024x768 as a choice and that is it.
Others I have heard playing them at 1600x1200 with black bars at the side.....
what is going on?

nope did not work...I actually add custom res to at 1280 and 1600 and it still did not let me choose them in NFSU2..reinstalled demo too
most people are able to go up to 1600x1200....I had the same problem with tiger woods also....
tried latest forceware too......still nothing beyong 1024 selectable in ea games
 
go into the display properties, uninstall display driver reboot let it pick up a new inf for your display see if that works...

btw for hacking up games that dont have support for wide i.e 1920x1200 out of the box, have a look on here for soloutions

also if anyone knows of a inf produced specifically for the apple 23" wide for pc, give me a shout plz.

dont feel the need for one at the mo, but if there is one kicking around doesnt harm giving it a go.
