How do you get sidebars to appear when you're running non-native resolution on this monitor? Anyone?

I beleive there is an option in the osd that allows you to scale all material to fit, or center without rescaling. Give that a try and let me know how it goes. I would try it on mine but I'm not at home right now.

Go into your Image Settings via the onscreen menu and down to where it says something like Image Size or Aspect (I'm at work right now so I can't see it at the moment). I think it's the 2nd option from the bottom.

I managed to figure this out. You simply have to set a view mode or something in the monitor config menu. I had this set before, but it wasn't working. My problem was I was playing Rome TW, which doesn't seem to support widescreen in game, so I edited a preferences text file to set my res and see what happened, and it turned out that it defaulted to 8x6 since it didn't support the res I entered, but my monitor thought it was doing native res (like I had set), so it wasn't adjusting accordingly. Anyways, figured this all out, set the res correctly, and now I get nice black sidebars :)
