2005FPW Auto Adjust question?

Hey guys,

I've had my 2005FPWs for quite some time now. On one monitor, it seems everything is off centered. This is ESPECIALLY noticable while playing games, such as BF2.

I'd like to simply make the monitor do it's auto config mumbo jumbo like my 52" TV does. However, everytime I go into the menu, those options, such as Auto Adjust are grayed out. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

I think auto adjust only works for VGA, are you using DVI?
 
Are you talking about a pixel thin line on the left side? And sometimes on the top? For instance when BF2 is at the login screen can you see a red line on the left side?

If this is true I have it too. But I know what is causing it on my computer. It is adjustments I made in the Ati Control center. You must turn off any Windows based AA, AF or anything else settings. Only use the in game settings.

I say this is true because when I installed BF2 I used ingame settings and nothing was there. I then played around with the Windows settings (the ATi control panel) and the line showed up.

If you think this is your problem as well you have to uninstall the drivers. Changing the settings back to "use ingame settings" or "let game decide" might not do it, at least it didn't for me. Uninstall all non Windows drivers and then reinstall and don't touch the nVidia settings in windows. Only do the ingame settings.
 
JustLong - Yeah, I'm using DVI.

ninethreeeleven - Hmm, I'm not to sure about that thin line you're talking about. I believe there might have been an odd vertical and horizontal line at the edge of the screen. I have already changed my drivers to the new forcewares, and left everything but AF to "Application Preference". I'd leave AF like that as well, but BF2 doesn't have the option for AF . . .

Anyway, I'll see how this goes and report back to you guys.
