2001fp readability

Someone asked about the readability of the 2001fp at 1600x1200 so I thought I'd post and try to compare, although my picture didn't come out as well as I would have liked.

First, some math:
2001fp ~ 10,000 pixels/inch
15" lcd at 1024x768 ~ 7282 pixels/inch

So there you see with the standards windows settings things will come out a bit smaller on the 2001fp. Something that is 1" by 1" on the 15" lcd will be about 3/4" x 3/4" on the 2001fp.

Well, here's the picture. It didn't come out that good but it might help a little. I actually had to put 2 images together because my vid card blows.

So items on the 2001fp are a bit smaller but they can still easily be read. If your eyes aren't so good you can right click your desktop and go to properties. Hit the Settings Tab and click Advanced. When it pops up in the General Tab you can set the DPI to 120. This will increase the size of everything 125% which will put it at almost the same size it was on the 15" LCD.
If you still need more you can always adjust text settings in the appearance tab of Display Properties. I hope this helps a little, sorry if not.

Readability is really a non-issue. You can change system font size under Display Properties. You can increase font size on web pages by clicking the "Size" button in IE or the "Zoom In" button in Mozilla.

Even without doing the above, text wasn't as small as I thought it would be due to the sheer size of the screen.
