I just took the plunge and got a Dell 2001FP. My first LCD from CRT conversion. I am running it on a 3GHz P4 machine with a 9800 pro in 1600x1200x60hz in everything. I had a little of the screen door effect at first, but as my eyes adjust to is, everything become gravy. It looks fantastic, although it has one dead pixel off to the side in a hard to notice place, but here is the deal: I seem to notice not so much ghosting as "sudden jumping" in FPS; its what I would call hitching or jumpiness when scrolling about the map in RTS's. What sealed the deal for me in thinking that there was something wrong was doing the monitorsdirect.com test and seeing the four dots again "jumping" every so often. Is this common with this LCD? Are there setting to tweak to stop this? Is it a windows setting to begin with? Or should I send it back to Dell post-haste? What would one call this phenonmenon? Enough with the shotgun questions. Thanks so much for any help I in advance.
