I'm about to pop a new 2000+ tbred into my mobo and was wondering if anyone knew if this chip comes locked. I glanced at the link that shows you how to modify the L6 bridges to "make" it into a mobile axp. But i'm not sure if that applies to tbred or just bartons. The chip I have is..

AXDA20000DUT3C
KIXHB 0338UPMW

more letters/numbers can be supplied if needed, but i think that's all the really useful info.

I remember hearing about how you don't have to unlock some tbreds because the mobo may unlock it for you and allow mulitplier changes, but that was a while back.. and i haven't really been following the oc'ing scene for a long time.

the mobo, ram and all that jazz that i'm using is in my sig (i'm replacing my 1600+ which i kinda messed up the unlocking with this 2000+)

yes, they are.

I own 2x 2400+'s 0340

They've been reported locked multiple times.
