I have an acer laptop that has a glossy sreen and I really like the quality. Now I am looking to get a 20" to 22" widescreen LCD for my desktop computer. Looking for suggestions.

yeah might as well go with acer again. not a lot of manufactuers make the glossy screen.

what about the Acer AL2016W? i heard it was similar to the viewsonic vx2025 but wtih a glossy screen.

You read wrong. It's the Acer AL2051W that is identical (except glossy screen) to the Viewsonic. The 2016 doesn't even have a glossy screen.
