2 sound cards cause feedback?

I'm getting dreadful feedback, which i didnt get on my build in audio (just upgraded to x-fi). I've left in the old sound card, could this be causing it?

It is highly unlikely the second sound card is causing the feedback.
Try muting the Mic in the playback mixer.

almost everything is muted, only the bare minimum is on
it all worked fine before :S
Think it may be my xmod box, ill have to check later in-case. ill have to rma if it is, although its only meant for laptops lol.

update: took the xmod out the audio loop its still there. tried the xmod on my old pc card, i think its the recording going through into high quality- it just cant take it maybe?
