2 LCD's need opinions

Im getting 2 LCD's soon.. one that does 16x12 to game on, and one to go next to it.. so i can watch movies or tv on while im gaming... like say i Die or im running to a location...

here are 2 LCD's im looking at to go nex to the gaming monitor...im in kind of a dilemma...

i dont know much about either monitor... other than the fact that there both max res is 1280x1024...and there refresh rates

i picked them because there free shipping at the moment...
the Hp also has a $40. rebate but is 10$ more...

basically what im saying is...would it be worth it to spend the extra money to get more off(and considering wether or not the hp is a good monitor) or going with the viewsonic which many peopel say is good
 
Standard cheap 17". Not much differnce between them. They are both TN screens. You are not going to see much difference between any of the commodity 17" screens. I would spend more time trying to find the good 16x12 monitor.

I have a 17" Dell 1707fp. I like it fine.
 
noo im not buyin both of these i already have the 16x12 in mind.. these are just to go next to it...i just wanna use this for webpage viewing,videos/movies thats about it...
im sorry what is a TN screen?
