Hey
Is it possible to have dual channel memory for banks 1+3 and banks 2+4?
Thanks in advance,
Egypt

Are you asking if it's okay to use 4 sticks in a dual-channel setup (yes), or if there's such a thing as quad-channel memory (no)?

would i loose anyspeed if i was to add another 2x512 to the 2x512 i already have?

there is a deal on new egg for 2x512 pc3200 which is what i have and i was thinking about getting it

would all 4 run at 200mhz?

You shouldn't have any problems since you're running them all at 200MHz (400 DDR nomenclature) and it's the rated stock speed.

If you were planning to overclock them, it might or might not affect your max speed.

a pentium 4 can use 4 sticks of ram, athlon 64 on the other hand has major issues with 4 sticks.

Depends on the memory. Athlon64 is picker with memory due to the controller being integrated into the CPU with low latency, so the timings on the memory have to be tighter than what you would put into an AthlonXP or Pentium4.

And if you have a mobo with only three slots, it's physically impossible...

If you're going to buy something, just do a quick check and make sure it's compatible. You should already be familiar with your system's guts (hopefully).

i dont plan on overclocking...im happy with my system and stock speeds so why bother making it faster (dont answer that  ) only 1 way to find out how it handles... if it doesnt work ill sell it to a friend or something

and i have 4 slots....
