Well I increased the fsb to 224 (11x) and played Far Cry and Doom 3 for about 4 hrs each and all seems well except when I checked the temps (136F) it's 80F in the room. I suppose the new HSF I just ordered should take care of this (CMX64-V). It was fine w/o adjusting memory settings or manually adjusting volts until 2.508 but anything higher would result in the mobo telling me what a naughty thing I did then would re-boot and re-set my settings to default (you'd think it would have the decency to set it back to the 2.4, geesh). I haven't adjusted the voltages (just set to Auto for now, but was at 1.55) nor the memory timmings. I have some cheap Kingston Value RAM 3.0-3-3-9. Either way I would be interested in seeing how it'll take with the new heatsink and fan, then I can up the voltage. I also cut a hole in the top of my case an added a 90mm which seemed to help a little (134F) Not the highest OC...yet but not too shabby for a newb and no manual adjusting. The only benchmarking app I have is 3D Mark2001se, which doesnt say crap about my cpu of course however b4 the OC I was getting a 22890 now I get a 23491.

I was wondering if there was a way to unlock the multiplier for this w/o the ol' pencil trick or using a kit?

Haven't Prime'd it yet because I figure if it can do what I want it to do for the duration I do it for...then all's good for me. Unless someone convinces me otherwise...
