Just got this LCD. Colors are good, some mild backlight leaking on the lower right. Black levels are ok for an LCD, might get better with some adjusting. Even though I didn't get this LCD for gaming or videos, even in regular windows use the ghosting is very apparent. In fact I get slightly dizzy when moving windows too fast. Brightness is at 70, contrast at 50, using VGA cable.

I guess this is normal for the 1905FP? I'm glad I got it for $250, because I don't think its really worth any more. Overall, not all that impressed, but still a good monitor for regular use and I'll keep it, especially since it has no dead pixels that I can see.
 
I reviewed the MVA version some time ago and I saw exactly what you mention.

Trailing is really bad in games but it's also very evident in Windows when scrolling, moving windows etc.

Could you check your panel in the factory settings?
 
I'm also dissappointed. I thought the blue was kindof washed out. I did not think that you have to do that much manual customizing the colors. In a perfect world you should just be able to press the auto config bottom and your done. I still like my Samsung 175v. I have not noticed any ghosting but that probably my previous monitor was a 25ms. Has anyone posted there monitor color settings?
 
I also purchased a Dell 1905fp in December. I returned it because of the ghosting. I did a mini-review with pics on it. Just do a search and you should be able to find it.
 
While the ghosting is bad, for $250, it has great color and good for most windows use.
 
So even the MVA ghosts too? Supposedly the MVA is an 8ms panel, although, I hear it don't run at nearly that because it isn't using overdrive.
 
I think you have that wrong. This 1905FP is using the Samsung PVA 20ms panel. No 8ms panels here. And only the P-MVA panels use overdrive for 8ms rt. Similar to the S-PVA 8ms panels.

There is another version of the 1905FP that uses the same 8ms MVA panel as the Viewsonic VP191B.
