1900XT vs 1900AIW

I am thinking about trading my 1900XT for the 1900AIW, is this a fair trade?
I want to be able to plug my cable TV connection into my computer, I am guessing that the AIW is what I need to do that, or is there other ways?
on line of performance, what can the AIW do for games, are the 2 comparable in that aspect?

Actually, I did a lot of research about this in the past, and the AIW can be overclocked to XT speeds quite easily (it's the same core only underclocked). Just use ATiTool's 3D Detection to OC it when you load a game, that way it won't adversely affect the TV Tuner performance when watching TV. It'll be a bit hotter than you're x1900 XT, and has less RAM, but your performance will be about the same.

So, make the trade but ask them for like $20-40, and it would be fair.

While a TV tuner is a viable option, it would cost you more for no performance difference.

However, the next time he upgrades graphics cards, he won't have to spend big bucks getting another all-in-wonder card.

TV tuner cards can be done quite cheaply if all you want is to use basic analog cable or an antenna. With a quick
search , I already found some starting at just under $30 plus shipping at NewEgg.

My ATI TV Wonder PCI has lasted me through my last six video cards, and in that light, it's saved me a lot of money over buying All-In-Wonder cards.
 
true you can get a basic tv tuner card for $30, you might wanna check into one with a mpeg2 encoder built in, like the ati theater 550. great picture, and encodes video without using your cpu..can game and record tv, and not even notice a drop in fps
