I bought a nice 1800+XP from DryFire on this board,(excellent seller, shipped the CPU before i even paid him!), and fired it up tonight. Its running at 2004mhz (12*167), 86°F(30°C)load, in my 26 (81°) room, all default voltages. I went to overclockers.com database and this puts me at 17 of 408 users in clock speed, is this right? What are some typical overclocks by H users?

Has anybody increased voltage on this chip? If so to what? I have the memory timings set on Turbo, should i change them manually?

system:
ASUS A7V600,1800+,640mb ram, 250gig,60gig,40gig, and a reallly shitty videocard.

That is good. Now up the voltage and see how much further you can get, because those temps are far from being hot.

a buddy of mine - Designedforhell - is running his 1700+ at 2.20ghz. on air. with a low-speed fan.

Ahh very nice, what is your FSB and multi at? How are your load temps? What memory? Did you have to adjust the ram voltage?
I'm thinking of putting another 120mm fan on my radiator to get a bit closer to ambient.

With setup sig. running 11.5x218fsb, ddr 2.93v, load temps are good around 46c when prime runs.

I had an 1800+ about 1-2 weeks ago (1800+ DUT3C/SIXIB) that wouldn't run over 2ghz no matter what voltage I fed it. The oddest thing was it would do 2ghz with stock voltage. But it couldn't/wouldn't do 2.05ghz with even 1.9volts. I sold it and grabbed a 2500+ instead. Just an oddball chip I guess.
