Hi, i recently helped my friend build a system. Nf7-m w/ barton 2500 with 256 ram. He has a sony wide screen LCD Monitor/TV and when he hooks up the computer it is unproportial where there are 2 black lines on each side because its a widescreen monitor. Does he have to buy a new vid card in order to get widescreen output or is it just impossible.

PS. i know you can stretch it w/ the tv controls but that justlooks bad on the tv.

thanks -mike

just run the resolution in 16 x 9 settings, youre using 4:3 settings which are normal TV's/Monitors. For Instance 800x600 is 4:3, 1600x900 is widscreen. My GF3 supports widescreen resolutions so you should be fine with the MX440.

Select a res like 1280x768 or one of those odds ones. The drivers should have that option.

If not, your gonna have to download one of those programs where you can add 16:9 reslutions. I dont know the name of the one that works with nvidia.
