16MB vs 8MB cache on USB

I'm debating whether I should buy a Maxtor 250GB 7200RPM 8MB cache IDE drive for $140 at zzf, or the same but with 16MB cache for $160 at Newegg.

I plan to use the drive in my Vantec Nexstar USB 2.0/firewire 400 enclosure and the only time speed really matters to me is when I'm copying tens of gigs at once. Would the drive with more cache be any faster at that?

Right now I have it hooked up to a USB 2.0 port on my NF7-S. Would firewire be faster or slower for large transfers?
 
the cache should only shine when your copying large files. I went with 4x 8mb cache 120gig drives in raid 5 with 128k cluster size when i setup my webserver. Sounds messed up but with my smallest mp3 being 35mb and the largest being about 630mb i figured it would speed transfers up just a bit when i'm moving things around or editing the files.

Personally i would go with the 16mb cache, even if only for bragging rights. :D
