12.1 drivers

hey I tried installing 12.1 drivers on two different 6850 cards for a customer and it said can't detect amd hardware. Then I get a yellow triangle in device manager. if I use the 11.12 driver I am fine. I run the 12.1 on my 4870 no problems. Is any one else with 68xx having 12.1 issues? Thanks for the help
 
Your installing a card on a new build or a PC that a customer brought in for upgrade or the customer tried to upgrade the driver themselves with the 6850 then brought it into you ?
 
new build custom parts. it was put together by our tech shop. they used the 11.6 drivers off the cd worked fine. d/l the newest 12.1 ccc and then problems. Tried gigabyte 6850 and xfx 6850. Both great with 11.12. I run 4870 with 12.1 no problem
 
The newest one are the 12.2 and those are working perfect over here (but i also didn't have issues with 12.1)
 
i had enough issues with 12.1, to the point where they didn't install correctly. I downloaded the file multiple times, and the installer would not install the display driver or CCC. 12.2 seems to be working fine. I am also on a 7950, as a reference.
 
I just installed 12.1's on a 6870 2gb about 2 hours ago.. worked fine.
