1080TI's coming down yet?

This has been a long waiting period between releases. If 1180/2080 performs the same as 1080Ti, it will be a shame.
I'm starting to wonder if nVidia was not happy with the performance of the 12nm node and they are going straight to 7nm. I would not be surprised. A lot of the other semiconductor companies are skipping 12nm for the new 7nm process. It sounds like the 12nm node may be a turkey. Same thing with Intel's 10nm node.

The cat is out of the bag that 1180 is being announced as FE availability at end of July. That's why you see prices dropping.

I am getting pretty damned impatient about this situation. I am at 1080P with a Zotac 980 amp. It runs everything ok but I know good and well that is going to change this year. When nvidia? When are you going to come clean? Is it going to be good or a bs refresh? Actually, I know a guy who works for nvidia in france.....hmmm. Maybe he knows something.

This is possible. A part of the story houwever has to be simply the fact that they have a dominant market position and the 1000 line is selling like hotcakes. Why bring things to the market that don't serve the bottom line, safer to keep it in your backpocket for a rainy day.

The scumbags who run this industry would not lower the price on anything unless they felt they had to. If the pricie of 1080tis is dropping, it's obvious they're trying to clear out inventory because they know something else is coming. It's as simple as that.

They'd bleed people dry on 1080tis forever if they thought they could get away with it.

While true, I don't see what's scumbaggy about it. It's just business. They don't owe you better graphic cards any more than you owe them your $$ to buy them

very true. It's called Free Market. You want it? You pay for it regardless how much it cost. An item is only worth what people are willing to pay for it at any given time. When the Great Depression hit, folks were selling their cars for $.10 on the dollar.

The "free" market where the government prints money willy nilly to pay for bankrupt banks to not go out of business after making horrible decisions, where memory companies conspire to drive prices ever higher, and where the government controls basically half of the economy.

But but muh free market. Lolbertarians are such a joke. Go twiddle your bow tie somewhere else

Well we could always be a central planning economy if that's what you want or we could go totally unregulated anarchy if you want to go in the other direction.

I hope the used 1080ti price will drop to the sub $300-400s when the new cards get announce.
