Ok, so this is nowhere NEAR as substantive an issue as the power draw of the 480, but hey, may as well point out the chosen marketing graphs from nvidia regarding the 1060.

That's SOME improvement eh guys!

The wccftech trolls have gotten ahold of this and created their own variations.

First, a non ridiculously scaled graph:

And now for the troll graphs.

that's funny! a few weeks back another thread was arguing about their graphs and I couldn't get people to understand what was wrong with the scaling.

There's nothing wrong with the scaling, people just lack comprehension skills. :)

At least these graphs are accurate. Ever see the AMD ones vs Intel? Totally misleading.

The power efficiency graph should be longer after RX480 is way above its TDP :D

I don't mind standardized graphs with a 10% variation per unit. That's really not that bad, as far as marketing scales go.

15% is significant. 40% is certainly significant.

It's not like we're talking about a 0.1% scale, where the 1060 is within 1-10% of the RX480 on all accounts. I'm looking at you motherboards, or factory OC AIB GPUs...

Anyone simply looking at "OOH BARS" is a moron and should be happy with either purchase.

If you can't look at a graph and its frame of reference (i.e. the side and bottom numbers indicating what it's referencing) then you probably shouldn't be plugging anything into your computer in the first place.

You'd be surprised at just how functional at installing PC parts some of the dumber people can be. What's scary is just the sheet number of them on the internet. I actually consider Facebook to be the internet's trailer park.

Lol where's the red to green ratio? Maybe the 1060 is made with non-gmo parts and is gluten free too?

I don't see Nvidia making a graph that says "Much faster than an RX 480" and then presenting it like that. Looks way more like a Videocardz click bait graph.

We actually do not know if these are real. Especially with the awkward wording like it was written by a non-native English speaker.

You're correct, but we've already had several prop them up as being real on these very forums. As the AMD fanboys crawl back into their caves/basements after powergate, the same people who screamed "wait for legit benchmarks" during the RX 480 leaks are now propping up a graph from an unknown source as gospel.

Oh these are totally fake, I remember when Nvidia and AMD used to release these back in the day.

Which is really the problem, let's not hype this like they did the 480. Personally I've got my card a 1080, but I know people who'd like to upgrade but can't justify spending what a 1080 costs, so I'd like to see a competing 1060. But, good lord we all can wait to see the real thing.

I doubt this is from nVidia. Their marketing material generally doesn't mention AMD.

People who aren't fucktards are going to wait for legitimate reviews before declaring a winner.

I will always buy Nvidia™ because I only play games The Way It's Meant to be Played™. Nvidia also pioneers innovative new technologies like PhysX™, Gameworks™ and the highest quality driver to ever grace Windows. When I boot up with a brand new Nvidia™ Geforce™, I can experience the game just like it's mean to be played. Nvidia™ also delivers a far more silkysmooth experience. Nvidia Geforce™ is also very power efficient. A graphic card is the most power hungry device in your house. Refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, dish washers, lights, etc all use significantly less power than a graphic card. Which is why Nvidia™ puts gamers first by ensuring that their gaming experience is of the highest quality while looking out for gamers by giving them the most value in their electrical bill. At this point in time, there's really no reasons to consider an AMD graphic card at all. I tried one one time, it caused so much heat that it exploded. It also consumed so much power that it gave on an EMP and destroyed the rest of my computer. Nvidia™ also pioneered how useless GPGPU is with CUDA™. Years ago, everyone thought GPGPU, CUDA™, and OpenCL were the future. Now, Nvidia™ has removed those useless features from their GPUs and increased efficiency. Now you can save thousands a year in electricity thanks to Nvidia™ ensuring that useless features like GPGPU are "optimized" for gamers. It's quite clear that OP's an AMD shill trying to convince you to settle on something less than The Way It's Mean to be Played™. Nvidia™ is the only real way to play games. We have seen recently that they offer incredible libraries for software developers like Nvidia Gameworks. He is probably too poor to afford the Nvidia Geforce Experience and can not afford to play any games The Way It's Mean To be Played™. Don't be a poor gamer with bad drivers and a huge power bill. Play games with the Geforce™ Experience™: The Way It's Mean To Be Played™
